Varicose Veins

These are the result of malfunctioning valves in the leg veins. These valves open to allow blood to flow upwards towards the heart and close to avoid flow the opposite way. When they do not close properly, there is pressure increase in the veins causing them to swell and the blood to stagnate.

Treatment options - Varicose veins are conventionally removed by means of surgical procedures. These invasive interventions have to be performed in hospital and immobilize the patient for several days. A gentle, effective and minimally invasive alternative to the conventional method is the Endolaser (TM) treatment - an out-patient procedure under local anaesthetic with no downtime. Less painful and less bruising.
